Why Zambia?

In 2004 Victor Chibangula was studying for a Master’s in Divinity at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. There he met Martin Winslow in a Hebrew class. A friendship was born and Martin committed to supporting Victor’s church planting ministry in Zambia.  After graduation in 2005, Victor and his family traveled back to Zambia to plant healthy churches and Martin moved to West Plains, MO.

After several years without contact, Martin e-mailed Victor sharing his heart for the poor and orphaned of Africa. Victor told Martin that his church had been praying for two years that God would move hearts in the United States to partner with him to enable this ministry.

After much prayer, the Lord led Victor to an impoverished area just outside Ndloa called George Compound.  It was there the ministry of Bethlehem Christian Academy began to bring the gospel and education to the people of Zambia in the George Compound.
