Christian Education

G.K. Chesterton once said, “an open mind is like an open mouth, both are meant to close on something solid.” At Bethlehem (House of Bread), both the child's mind and mouth will close on something beneficial for life. One bread will nourish the soul, while the other nourishes the body. Jesus when tempted by the Devil said “man lives not by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” Notice Jesus said, “not by bread alone…”

Both kinds of bread are critical for physical and spiritual survival. It isn’t enough to just feed in order to keep alive, but to feed so that one may learn of the bread that proceeds from the mouth of God. Jesus reminded us of the importance that education be found coming from godly mentors. Jesus said, “a student is not above his teacher, but when he has been fully trained, he will be like him.” Jesus words are critical to BCA founders.
